What do you do? Very simply, I help you start or grow your business. I’ll teach you how to focus on the essentials.
That’s nice, but what do you really do? I work with you to do some or all of the following:
- website/business name and tagline development
- simplifying business practices
- launching anything
- developing a platform
- brainstorming content and writing copy for sites and marketing materials
- creating marketing plans including simple social media strategy
- developing media relationships and strategic partnerships
- product ideas and development
Do you really believe that you can have a successful business without mass marketing? Absolutely! In fact, if you focus your energy and dollars on clearly identifying your audience, you can better craft your message and deliver it more effectively and personally.
Will I ever have to pay for advertising again? Less doesn’t mean nothing. There may be some good advertising opportunities or sponsorship programs to consider. I can help you determine what information is relevant before making an ad buy, and recommendations on how most efficiently to reach your people.
How do you keep up with all of the Social Media options? I decide what is most important and focus on one at a time.
Is word of mouth important? For the longest time, I thought “word of mouth” was another way to say “I don’t have money to spend on advertising.” Now that I understand the power of social media channels like Twitter and Facebook, I think it’s time to harness “word of mouth”. With the passive nature of online reviews, tweets and blogs, it is easy for anyone to say anything (negative or positive) about your business. You need to know what people think about you, see what they are saying, and understand how to respond.
What kind of businesses have you worked with? From Internet businesses to stores on Main street, I’ve collaborated with architects, interior designers, boutique owners, marketing managers, dentists, artists, bloggers and realtors just to name a few. Together we can decide if I am the right person to work with you and your business.
What if I don’t live near you? The beauty of today’s technology, will put me in your office through Skype, email and of course, good old fashioned telephone calls. I’m also happy to travel, so if it makes sense for me to be where you are, we can make arrangements.
What experience have you had with blogging and social networking? Starting in May of 2010, I became very focused on web based business, including blogging and other sites. Here are a few of my projects with relevant statistics (based on a monthly average).
- blogs | 11,000 email subscribers | 200,000+ views per month | visitors from 162 countries
- twitter | 6500 + followers
- facebook |5800 + likes
Why did you decide to go into business consulting? I love working with people that love what they do. The energy is contagious. Sometimes it’s hard to see the road blocks when you are so close to your own project or business and that’s where I come in. From creative brainstorming to straight forward recommendations, I specialize in big picture thinking.
What is big picture thinking? It is so easy to get lost in the details of the day, goals you’ve set and other issues. From an outside perspective, with my background, I can help you get out of your own way, clearly define goals and help you work through a customized action plan.
