the anatomy of a goodblogger: Sonya

My favorite part of an online course is that you can participate from anywhere. The last session of the Goodblog Project had members from the US (east coast, west coast and somewhere in between), Germany, South Africa and Australia.

Sonya Madden from Australia joined to help with direction for her blog Emerging Dark Horse, and by the end of the program had the clarity to begin development on Green Apple, an eco-friendly magazine.

Sonya from Emerging Dark Horse
The Goodblog Project came into my life at the perfect time. I had just launched Emerging Dark Horse, my third attempt at blogging and had begun heading down the same path, repeating my previous mistakes. Once enrolled, I found Courtney’s material practical and extremely helpful.

I feel like I have just emerged from a 4 week intensive on all things blog! Although I know successful bloggers, I felt timid about asking too many nuts and bolts questions – with Courtney’s course, the under the hood information was amazing. There were also great examples and references to explore the material further.

Courtney provided fantastic support and coaching to me personally throughout the course. From the 2 one-on-one calls and the four webinars, a new idea emerged for me which is now in production. My existing blog became more focused, my twitter following increased and my blog followers slowly grew.
I enjoyed engaging with the other bloggers in the course. We came from all around the world and offered different levels of experience. Everyone was happy to share and support each other on the journey.

I still have a long way to go however I feel more confident in my path and executing the steps along the way.
