Love it! Singing in the car is a sure sign that I’m happy. In fact, that’s what I do to lift my spirits – works every time.

  3. Great post Courtney! (and thank you for the positive mention :-)
Uplifting to think about things that lift us up, read some great suggestions, and keep them in our back pockets for when we need a happy boost! Joining in with a couple (feeling inspired..)

    - writing and sending postcards to friends and family overseas, even when you’re not on vacation (especially when you’re not on vacation)
    - tulips! (or whatever’s in season) I think we might even be coming into peony season…wonderful :-)
    - cozy candle light (no matter what the day, the occassion, or lack thereof)
    - a good long bike ride
    - taking a walk around your own city and snapping a few cheap instagram photos of nothing and everything
    - reading some of the blogs you can count on to be a breath of fresh air (like this one!)

  4. Dancing to Chuck Berry, playing in the sunshine with my dogs, walking under a starry sky. Thanks for a wonderful post.

  5. Lovely post, and thank you for the very kind shout-out!

  6. Let’s see:

    - Days when I can get out of bed
    - My daughter saying “I love you”
    - My husband saying “I love you”
    - Anyone saying “I love you” (what can I say? I’m a sucker for love!!)
    - Getting mail – you know, the kind with a stamp, not just emails (although I love those as well)
    - The sun, the sky, a little bird outside my window

Thanks for encouragine me to think of these!

  7. Beautiful, Courtney. The picture is ever serene, ever peaceful. Be well, my friend.

  8. Wonder list of things to lift us up. The sound of a stream lifts me up or an warm summer breeze. Just walking with nature lifts me up. Thanks for asking and you Courtney and a wonderful day and hope the cold is doing better. Debbie

  9. That jacket on Oprah’s site is so neat! I love multitasking clothes!

  10. I love this post! Actually, I love this blog! It’s a refreshing place to visit.
Here are a few little things that lift me up: cat naps, writing in my journal, happy music, going for walks with my children, good hot coffee in the morning, sitting on my front porch, decluttering… Hope you feel better soon!

  11. Watching the sunrise…. walking on the beach with my dogs who play endlessly there… great music.. a call from my best friend

  12. Loved this post! Everyone needs to remember the little things that lift them up. Some of mine are:
    A cold Diet Coke
When one of my kids actually wants to be cuddled
    Five o’clock on a Friday
    A surprise letter (remember letters?)

  13. Hope you are feeling better Courtney. I love the minimalist photos you shared. Shows how you can find beauty in the simple, the small, with less :)

  14. Love any chance to read and share the little blisses that make each and every one of our lives worth living…

-a cold glass of water first thing in the morning
-the smell of a new candle (my newest fave Tuscan Fig from Williams Sonoma, a guilty pleasure)
-a show that makes you cry right when you really need it
