One Million for Good
As I’ve mentioned before, I lost my job on purpose to do things that I love. Photography is one of those things. I believe that art can change the world.
Art inspires, intrigues, motivates and now, I hope that it will raise money for good organizations doing great things.
One Million for Good is my commitment to donate $1,000,000 through the sales of my fine art photography. 50% of each purchase up to $1,000,000 will be donated to The Myelin Repair Foundation and Invisible Children. Learn more about why we love these awesome organizations. The limited edition images are available in several sizes and formats. (custom orders welcome) The art is simple and bold.
4 ways you can help art change the world …
- Explore One Million For Good. Take a look at the website, check it out, give me your feedback and ask questions.
- Buy an image. The holidays are right around the corner and the gift of art is unique and clutter free. With any image purchased in the next 30 days, I’ll include a free Powerhour to help you do work that you love. (scheduled at your convenience)
- Tell your friends. If you love this idea, blog about it, tweet it, share it on Facebook, and call your mom to tell her!
- Vote. A third organization will be added to receive contributions based on your vote. Visit this blog post to vote on nominated non-profits or write in your own.
It’s important to support good people doing great work. I believe the organizations supported by One Million for Good are doing that great work. I’m excited and nervous all at the same time to share my work with you. I hope that it makes you smile.
Please vote for your favorite organization before October 31st. I am so grateful that you support me in doing work that I love.

Wow, what a great idea! Your photos are simply beautiful! What camera(s) do you use? I keep dreaming of the say I will be able to afford an SLR, so am always looking for recommendations. Thus far, Canon anything seems to be winning.
The photo out the window of the ocean is my favorite. Simple & stunning!
Thanks so much for your feedback! As you might imagine, I keep things really simple with my camera equipment. I’m a Nikon girl and have one camera.
Nice photos. Makes me wonder why you used to use stock photos here on the blog instead of showcasing your own work.
Mike, I thought of that too, but my images didn’t typically lend themselves to my posts. If I have the opportunity moving forward, I will.
I love this idea!! Way to go, Courtney. Can’t wait to see this develop.
I’m so glad to see one of my favorite organizations on your list, i.e., Compassion International. We’ve been sponsoring kids with them since 1987. My wife and I got to visit our little girl in Indonesia last June. It was incredible!
Gene, that visit must have been life changing for her and you. Thanks for doing what you do.
I love your bike photos – the colors are so bold and interesting. And, the organization – invisible children sounds amazing too! There are so many great organizations out there. I’m working on a post today on giving, and will link back to your site for votes, etc.
Marci, Thanks so much for your support and encouraging feedback.
Thank you for doing this – and thank you for including Compassion in the list of nominees.
Your photos are awesome and I have to say I think many of the concepts you write about in such a succinct way could easily be depicted by your photos. They are so “wham” just like your writing!
Of course I voted for Animals… and I love this whole concept.
Mahalo for the change maker you are.
