I bought a dress for the last phase of Project 333 that doesn’t look very good on me. In fact, I know I’ll never wear it again.
Pre-Project 333, I would have kept this dress in my closet.
I used to hold onto clothes I didn’t wear because:
- I had spent the money. Even though I knew I would never wear something again, I’d keep it because I felt guilty. Instead of immediately giving away the item, I’d let it rent space in my closet. Today, I let go of the dress and the guilt.
- I might need it. I used to play the what if game. What if I attend a gray dress event? What if none of my other clothes fit and that’s the only thing I can wear? Today I only keep clothing that I wear regularly.
- It might look good tomorrow. Yes, perhaps my body will magically transform, I’ll grow a few inches taller and the dress will look great. Today, I only keep clothes that fit me well.
So, in the spirit of celebrating the new Project 333 me, I want to give you my dress. I wore it three times, for less than 5 hours total. It’s in perfect condition and would be great for someone a little taller than my 5’6″ that wears a size 10.
This dress is featured in the image above, but the color is Graphite. The catalog description: Our pullover scoop-neck dress, now with the improved fit you asked for. Eminently easy to wear from day to night. Soft, resilient cotton knit, with flattering cap sleeves and a ruched bodice. Fully lined skirt. Below-knee length.
If you’d like me to send you this dress, leave a message on the Project 333 Facebook page under my post that says “Please Take my Dress”. I’ll pick a random winner from those comments and announce on Facebook.
