Weekend Wisdom: When everything is important, nothing is.
I was in the hospital yesterday.
I’m not sick or injured but I had to do a routine MRI for my multiple sclerosis treatment. If you’ve read Soulful Simplicity, you know how much I dislike MRIs. On top of my usual MRI anxiety, I had the “going to the hospital in the time of Covid” anxiety too.
When it was over, I thought I’d feel relieved but instead I was just really tired. Feeling anxious is exhausting, which may be one reason we may feel more tired than usual lately.
This weekend, I’m going to find some mountain air, breathe in some sunshine and take things slowly. Even though I feel like I “should” be exercising more and that I “should” be getting more done, what I will do is take care instead. My voice within tells me that the shoulds can wait.
Perhaps your shoulds can wait too.
