Weekend Wisdom: No one is giving you a “You did everything and are exhausted as a result” prize at the end of life. – Kate Northrup
Walking is my favorite thing.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I walk every day (and share pictures from my walks in Instagram Stories). Sometimes I go to the park, or a nearby neighborhood to walk and other days (like today), I go to the mountains. The best thing about living in Utah is that there is always somewhere stunning to walk.
Even though I walked pre-pandemic, my walking has taken on new meaning over the last several months. My walks used to be something I did, but now they are a place I go. They’ve become more meaningful now that there is no where else to go. As the weather cools, and the leaves fall, I’ll be spending more time outdoors walking. When my mind wanders to all the beautiful places I’ll go again someday, I’ll remind myself that this place, right here, right now is a beautiful place to be.
