Thousands have joined the Less Phone, More Life Challenge and what I’m learning is that less phone means more everything. People joining have been sharing not only why they want to spend less time on their phones but what they’d rather be doing instead.
Here’s what they have to to say …
- I’d like to spend more time with my grandchildren.
- I want to read more.
- I’m sick of being distracted from doing real work.
- I want to take better care of my family.
- Must stop procrastinating.
- I hope to be more creative.
- I need to sleep better.
- We need to set a better example for our kids.
- I want to be more present.
There are many more responses, but even if this challenge only solves these problems, less phone means more everything.
When you are thinking of spending less time on your phone, focus on what you want more of, how you’d rather spend your time and how you want to feel.
Less Phone, More Life Challenge
This isn’t a no phone challenge, it’s a less phone challenge with a promise to reduce screen time by 25% or more. That means if you spend 4 hours a day on your phone, I’ll give you back one of them. If you spend 20 days a year on your phone, I’ll give you back 5 of them. Five. Full. Days.
Before you decide, consider how you’d spend an extra hour a day or an extra 5 days a year. Your numbers may be different and we’ll help you figure them out before we start the challenge. After five days, you’ll be using your phone and other digital devices more intentionally and less mindlessly.
On Wednesday, January 12, I’m hosting a Facebook Live at 3:00 PM Eastern here to tell you even more, answer your questions and invite you to join me for this fun, free five-day challenge. It’s even more fun with friends so invite them to take the challenge with you!
