Weekend Wisdom: The next time things get hard or you don’t feel well, instead of pushing through, try resting through.
Honoring my own pace.
It’s taking me a little longer to get things done lately and I don’t mind at all. I’m embracing this slower pace. Our tree sat for days without any lights, and then for another week or more with lights and no decorations (which I did not mind at all). I’m not sure if it’s the holiday season or just the season in my life but I’ve accepted the invitation to honor my pace without pushing, rushing or trying to control it. Notice where you are pushing, rushing or trying to control it. What would happen if you let that go? Maybe the people around you won’t move as quickly. Perhaps things that are on your to-do list won’t get done or not exactly how you want them to get done. AND, there’s a good possibility that everyone will feel less stressed and more relaxed and happy. Seems like a worthy trade.
