Weekend Wisdom: Maybe the opposite of being all caught up isn’t being behind but being relaxed.
I fueled up with vitamin sea this week.
I just got home from one of my favorite spots in California. Coffee, tacos, long walks and sunsets were are on repeat all week. I’ll be sharing more about the trip in an upcoming episode of the Soul & Wit Podcast, but in the meantime, I want to talk about resetting.
After not traveling much for the last two years, I felt like I was starting over. Navigating the airport was a little more challenging and coming home was bumpy too. I knew a proper reset was in order. When I got home, I drank a big glass of water and immediately unpacked, started laundry and put every single thing away. I knew if I waited, I’d never feel back on track and settled in.
If you are getting back out there and traveling more for the first time in awhile, give yourself extra time on either side of the trip. You are likely out of practice (like me) and need some extra reset time. I wrote more about how to feel more grounded here.
