Weekend wisdom: Overwhelm, exhaustion, resentment and having no idea what delights you anymore are a few of the signs and signals that indicate you’ve given yourself to everyone but you.
Oh hi.
I recently enjoyed a week of writing in one of my favorite spots. There were ocean views, lots of sitting on the deck and staring into space, good snacks and so many words. While I know I can write anywhere, sometimes a change of scenery and a clear calendar can move me into a flow state faster than my day-to-day routine. When I’m working on a big writing project, I tend to write in bursts, let it rest, come back and edit and then schedule the next burst. I write something almost every single day, from journaling and articles to messages to loved ones and little notes like this one to you. For me, writing feels essential and I am very grateful that I get to do something I love so much for fun and work.
Ok … onto the favorites.

Today’s Instagram favorite is from @h.e.l.e.n.m.a.r.i.e. Even though we know the best things aren’t things, it’s always refreshing to make a list of the things that matter most to you. I’d add pets, curiosity, quiet and creativity to the list. What would you add?
I hope you enjoy this edition of Weekend Favorites and have a beautiful, slow, loving weekend.
xo,
Courtney
