Weekend Wisdom: Doing more things doesn’t make you a better person. It makes you a tired person. It’s time to rest, recover, renew and come back to you.
It’s all part of the process.
Even when it’s for the best, rejection stings. Before I published Soulful Simplicity and Project 333, I had numerous rejections from book agents and publishers. It’s been years since I pitched a new book but recently I did and it was rejected. It stung, but not for long.
After years of experience in rejection, I don’t take it personally. I understand that it’s just another step in the process of getting to the right idea, the right person, the right moment.
These ideas, people and moments can’t be rushed.
I have a new idea and I’m hopeful that the people and moment will align so I can bring this new book to life.
If you’ve recently experienced rejection, acknowledge the sting, feel your feelings and remember that it’s a step in the right direction.
