Weekend Wisdom: When an appointment cancels or something falls off of your to-do list, don’t replace it. Embrace the space and take it for yourself.

Last weekend I joined friends for an oyster “pop up” at a cider bar where I ate many oysters and tried my first (and second) clam. How did I go this long thinking I don’t like clams? It was a good reminder not to believe everything I think. And the evening was a great reminder to spend more time with people who make me laugh.
If my camera roll is any indication, I definitely haven’t been experiencing many new adventures lately, even the ones in my own backyard. I blame the heat, and life being life-y. Now that the heat is retreating and I’m cooling off in many different ways. I welcome new adventures and lessons (along with my regular morning coffee and daily simple pleasures).
