The Simplicity Journey
The Simplicity Journey is a simplicity path created to provide you with guidance in your simplicity journey. It highlights the different stages you’ll visit as you simplify your life AND it will give you permission to stay focused on one thing at a time.
Keep in mind that this journey doesn’t happen on a straight freeway. It’s more of a winding path. This is something you'll be coming back to again and again, throughout your simplicity journey.
You might spend a month in one stage and a year in another and chances are you’ll revisit some of these stages of simplicity as you move through different stages of life.
Based on the quiz, below is the stage we identified you're in now. We recommend focusing here and starting with the Tiny Steps below.

Time Stage

In this stage, you’re focused on your time.
You might be wanting more time for yourself or with family. Or maybe you need to work on setting boundaries with others around your time.
Whether you're just getting started or you've been here before, these Tiny Steps will help you make progress.
Tiny Steps
- Create a 5-10 minute morning routine. Start the day with you first even if it's for a short period of time. Stretch, journal, meditate, enjoy your tea, coffee or water or simply take a few deep breaths and daydream about the day ahead.
- Institute a "closing shift" - Instead of ending the day exhausted in front of the tv, spend a few minutes closing down. That might include cleaning your sink out, wiping down counters, and setting your phone to do not disturb or whatever you need to do to feel more settled at the end of the day.
- Practice saying no, even to yourself when opportunities arise that remove you from the way you want to spend your time.
allow me to introduce myself
Hi, I'm Courtney Carver!
I spent much of my adult life tired, stressed, sick and doing work I didn’t care about to make ends meet. I always wanted more or thought I needed more to be happy, but realized after years of decluttering and letting go that happiness isn’t waiting for us, it’s within us.
If you are overwhelmed or exhausted (or both), I know how you feel. I’ve been there. I’ve worked too hard, spent too much, and slept too little.
Simplifying my life gave me the space, time, and love to be more me, and the following practices led me back.
In 2010, I created Be More with Less and minimalist fashion challenge Project 333. Be more with less means: Be more you. Give yourself all the space, time and love to remember who you are. Living with less clutter, busyness, stress and simplifying your life will help you make the room to do what you need to do.
I’m looking forward to learning more about how I can help you create a life that makes you smile every day.
