Weekend Wisdom: Feeling guilty for taking care of yourself is not taking care of yourself.

My latest adventure was a tomato festival. I had no idea that tomatoes had flavor notes. In fact, I thought the only difference in tomato flavor was a store bought tomato in the dead of winter vs. a fresh, off the vine local summer tomato. I didn’t know!
In a lovely tomato taste test in which we voted for our favorites by adding a dried bean to a cup, I tried tomatoes with four different flavor profiles. I was with two other people and we all agreed on the flavors (but not the favorites). One tomato tasted like caramel, brown sugar. Another was in the botanical category and was giving fresh cut grass. Next we tasted one that had hints of melon and last a tomato that had notes of potato! My favorite was the first one. I love a sweet tomato.
