How to Create a Meaningful Morning Routine

How to Create a Meaningful Morning Routine

Does your day lack focus? Do you wish you could take care of yourself before you take care of everyone else? Trade your snooze button and early morning email session for a routine or ritual that makes room for more clarity and ease throughout the day.

My morning routine changes from season to season, but typically it includes a combination of meditation, yoga, walking and writing. Dedicating a block of time to actions that heal my body, calm my mind and inspire creativity first thing in the morning informs my day in a really positive way.

I think everyone deserves a morning routine, (early riser or not) so I made this microcourse for you.

What’s different about a microcourse?

A Microcourse requires:

  • micro-schedule: learn something new in a week or less
  • micro-investment: always less than $20 (and sometimes less than $10)
  • micro-inbox commitment: all course material delivered in one folder via one click download

A Microcourse delivers:

  • mega-impact: each Microcourse presents the opportunity for awesome improvements in life, love, and/or health when put into practice.

I developed the Microcourse concept to help support this website in lieu of advertising or other alternatives. I understand that time, attention and money are finite resources and I don’t want to take advantage of yours. A Microcourse will always offer more for less so you can continue to be more with less.

Courtney, thanks for creating this micro course (I love the concept!). I will definitely purchase it. I love getting up earlier each day, and I have a pretty good routine already, which I discuss on my own site, but new ideas are beautiful! Thanks for this.

  2. Courtney Carver says

Thanks Tony! I am really excited about this course. A morning routine has been so powerful in my life.

  3. says

Courtney, this is one of my intentions for this year. I normally do rise early, but I am not making the most of my early morning hours. I’d like to start the day off right so I’m working more efficiently, relaxing more peacefully, and maintaining my energy to try new things in our travels. Thanks for putting this out – and for explaining the concept of a microcourse so clearly.

  4. says

Sounds great! I need to get out of the drink coffee, read paper, hover over the computer morning routine. I just signed up.

  5. Jill says

This couldn’t come at a better time. I will definitely be signing up. I have the hardest time getting up in the morning on days that I work. I really crave a morning routine to help me start the day of right.

  6. says

    What a great idea!

I’m curious – does your course offer suggestions for actually being able to wake up early enough to have a morning routine??

    • Courtney Carver says

yes, but that isn’t the focus. In my opinion, the best way to wake earlier is to do it a few minutes at a time. For instance if you always get up at 7, wake at 6:55 for a week, and then 6:50.

  7. Marina says

This course is something that I’m looking for a long time! Did you accept paypal balance as payment? I just need your account e-mail to send the money. Thank you!

    • Courtney Carver says

Marina, If you click on the Add to Cart button above, you can pay via paypal. Email me if you have any issues and I can help further.

  8. says

Thanks so much for what looks like a wonderful course. I have downloaded the content but cannot seem to find the audio welcome message or the video recording. Do they come at a later stage or am I just not looking in the right place. Cheers, Kylie

    • Courtney Carver says

Hi Kylie, The audio message is a link in the 1st PDF and you can link to the video in the 2nd PDF. Email me if you have any trouble finding them.

  9. says

i love the idea but not the idea of having to pay. even a little can mean some may miss out. i love what you say and teach. i have followed you since the 2nd season of the 333 project. the journey has been worth it.

  10. says

Thanks for creating this micro-course, which I just purchased. While I look forward to the idea of the meaningful morning routine, the main reason I purchased it is because you are putting your beliefs into practice–walking the walk and talking the talk of having less stuff. As a blogger myself, I read many blogs, and I get a bit disheartened whenever I see a so-called “minimalist” or “non-consumerist” blog that is featuring products to buy. While I fully understand the monetary need to support the blog, it all seems counter-intuitive to me to talk about having less stuff, and then advertise more stuff. So thank you, Courtney, for being true to who you are and what you write about. I wish you much success with this concept.

  11. Courtney Carver says

Hi Marilyn, I’ve received your email and responded a few times. Please check your spam folder. If it’s not there, let me know! 😉

    • Marilyn Quinn says

Courtney is there a way I can contact you other than this comment. I have checked my spam and everything I still have nothing. My e-mail address is Sorry to be such s problem.

      • Courtney Carver says

        Hi Marilyn,

I’ve emailed you several times from 2 different email addresses with and without attachments. At this point, the only way I can think to get you the course is through another email address or a dropbox account.

If that won’t work, I’d be happy to send you a refund.

So sorry we are having such technical issues. It’s really unusual.

i have a work schedule that varies…0530 two days, next day 0800, next day 1300 then 0530 again…not consistant it how it varies either…
any help for my type of schedules??

  12. says

This sounds wonderful Courtney. However, here’s my problem. I’m already an early morning riser UNLESS I plan to get up early. Then I’m awake ALL night thinking about having a plan for the morning and exhausted all day. Hopeless? (BTW: love your blog :-)

    Hi Courtney,

thanks for setting up this micro course. I love your idea of small increments every week. This makes it easy to start small and to stack up gradually week by week.

I think, all your instructions are easy to follow and will yield lots of benefits if implemented.

I also admire the flexibility of the morning routine you suggest. This way I really can chose what is most important and beneficial for me.

Thanks again and all my best wishes to you and all your readers!

    How are you !
I made payment today by paypal which is linked to my bank account. It gave me a message that the payment is still pending. So after the payment clears, will I get the microcourse in my inbox?
