This is the best thing I have read about him since his passing. Relationships not work is what is most important in life.

  3. Yes – thank you for reminding me how behind the elegance and craftsmanship of his products was a man who survived apparent defeat when ousted from Apple only to find the woman he loved and who certainly still loves him. Godspeed, Mr. Jobs, thank you for your vision and thank you for keeping your head low and your beloved family private.

I had no idea he had a family! I dont know why I thought that! Thank you for showing these touching pictures and his family will be in my prayers…

Thank you for thinking of the man as something other than a public figure. His wife and children are suffering heart-wrenching emotions that have nothing to do with gadgets, technology, and Apple’s stock. I am praying they can grieve and heal without the press bothering them.

I love Jobs so much, too. I pray for him and his family.

  7. You are so right with this post. I would imagine that in the end they are what mattered most to him.

Thank you for this. The world lost a great man, absolutely, but, more importantly, his family lost someone they loved. There’s a big difference in those two things and so many people are apt to forget it.

What a lovely biographical note. The man left a beautiful legacy. His genius. And his love for his family. His parents passed on to him what so few do today, love and a sense of family, real values. Despite what life threw at him, these kept him anchored so he didn’t lose his head in despair nor in pride. What a man to look up to as a role model.

  10. This is beautiful! Thank-you for the reminder that he was more than the public persona..and a man who was loved and will be missed by his family. Thank-you!

You know, I’ve seen all these pictures since his passing, but my first thought was never Apple… especially with that picture of him leaning his head towards his wife… after all this I’ve just felt a profound sadness. I’m not sure why, maybe its just how death strikes me. But it always leaves me sad. Another human tragically fading. More humans hurt by said fading… I guess I haven’t come close to mastering the acceptance of the whole buddhist impermanence philosophy.

  13. Thank you for the beautiful post, as said above, the best thing written since he passed away. The only one I dared to forward to my friends. So true!

    wonderful post,
Yes this man bought many people closer together with his technology.
Being on a business trip away from family and loved ones is so hard and you are riddled with guilt. Something as wonderful as a iphone or ipad helps us feel we are right there in the same room when we can not be. I know it is not the same but its as close as we can get, (given todays technology).
Saying good night to a family member and hearing them, seeing them in real time is a modern day joy.
Thanks you Steve Jobs and God bless your family.
    Regards,
    Daryl Wark

Nice how you forgot to mention the Chinese sweatshops where children labored 14 hours a day in horrific conditions so we could have all this crap. (Need proof, it exists in Apples own internal documents) I expect you will delete this, but had to say something anyway.

Cameron, I think you missed the point of the post all together, but I’ll leave your comment up and let readers decide for themselves if it has any relevance.
