I enjoy appreciating beauty.
Motivation, energy, focus, flow … they all ebb and flow. We can optimize some of the factors that encourage these things but not most of them. I used to fight this. I’d push through. Work harder. Do whatever I could to be productive and make things happen.
And now, I respect the days that call for pulling back, letting go and simply noticing. I don’t push through the ebb of creative flow. Instead, I do something else or nothing at all.
