Weekend Wisdom: Caring less about what other people think of you is the ultimate form of self-care.
Let it snow.
After getting lost in the pre-election result news, I have so much more clarity about how NOT to spend my time. It’s been snowing all week and I’ve been gazing at our snow capped mountains, walking in the mix of snow and crunchy, frozen leaves and feeling especially grateful that I get to choose how I spend so much of my time. I also deeply appreciate the fact that I don’t feel the need to prove my worth by my accomplishments anymore. That means my time spent doesn’t all have to be productive in the traditional sense.
Think about what you are trying to prove by what you do. Is the proving working for you or against you? When proving becomes the point of the doing, it’s often not worth doing at all.
Instead of proving your love, love.
Instead of proving your work, work.
Instead of proving your life, live.
